Pastor Steve Propst was born on July 14, 1960 in Harrisonburg Virginia in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley. He graduated from Bridgewater College in 1983 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology and later received a Master of Divinity Degree from Eastern Mennonite Seminary in May of 1994. Pastor Steve and April were married on January 12, 1985 and have two children Katie Marie and Joshua. Prior to entering the pastoral ministry, he served as a Youth Pastor at Dayton United Methodist Church from 1985-1990. In June of 1990 he was licensed as a local Pastor. He was ordained as a Deacon in the United Methodist Church in 1992. In 1998 he was ordained an Elder in Full Connection in the United Methodist Church at the Civic Center in Roanoke Virginia. He has served as a pastor for 21 years. The churches he has served include: Stanley UMC on the Harrisonburg District; Pleasant Grove UMC on the Danville District; Mint Spring UMC on the Staunton District; and currently serving Mountain View
UMC on the Lynchburg District. Pastor Steve’s hobbies include: gardening, all kinds of sports, hunting, cutting wood, tinkering with small engines and carpentry.
